“The One” 03 M is a lighter, Med. Heavy / Moderate version of “The One” 04 M designed for oversized crankbaits.
“The One” is Reneau Tackle’s newest flagship rod and the most advanced rod we produced. This rod is the result of our working with Fuji on creating a new blank to suit our needs. We were looking for a true moderate, parabolic bend with the same power as our #1 selling rod for 15 years, the PG104.
With new advancements in materials and manufacturing process we have found a lighter, stronger, more sensitive blank. The advanced new materials that make up this blank enabled it to deadlift an average of 17.5lbs off the ground, versus the 7.5-8lbs our legacy products are capable of. Plus, “The One” sports a new carbon fiber grip and butt to keep the rod light, ergonomic, and looking great.
From Reneau Tackle Pro Ray Hanselman:
When we first started R&D testing with different blanks, Tim wanted to bring the action of a glass cranking rod (where the whole rod bows when fighting a fish) to a rod with enough back bone to be able to fish a TX rig on. In this way, Reneau Tackle definitely pioneered the parabolic bend multi-function blank.
We have used that 104 blank for almost every purpose and application, from TX rigs, to Carolina rig, Swimbaits, spinnerbaits even Flippin and weightless plastics.
The rods’ unmatched ability to fight and land more fish has been noticed throughout the fishing industry and companies have tried to copy it with no luck. They even used Reneau Tackle-coined descriptions like Parabolic Bend and Moderate Power.
Now, with the addition of a new line of application-specific rods (the Power Point Series) we were just missing one blank. It has taken several years to perfect the evolution of the PG104.
This evolved twin of the 104 is lighter, which means less stress on the body, and the lighter blank means increased sensitivity as well. The appearance of the rod is cutting edge with a carbon textured feel plus matching carbon textured grips.
The only name that fits this rod is THE ONE-04. In baseball, you have a Utility player– he is the ONE player who can go in at any position because of his versatility. This is how we feel about the New Power Point: THE ONE-04.
We have been waiting for almost 2 years to add this new blank to our “One Series” Lineup. It’s finally here!
“The One” 02 Medium Moderate has the same power as the 550 that so many of you have been throwing 5XDs and 6XDs on, but with the parabolic bend that characterizes The One series.
Available in lengths 7’0”, 7’3”, 7’6” and 7’10,” this is an excellent rod cut shorter for jerk baits, topwater, and square bills.
The standard guides on the 02 will be the Fuji Sic guides, but Recoil guides can be used at your request.
The 02 will have an orange and carbon label, with gray wraps and orange accents. Again, the rod can be customized to the color of your choice.

This XX Heavy/Moderate Fast rod is built for frogs, flipping, and jigs. It bends a little more in the middle and is a little lighter than the LPC-1100. Good for everything flipping. It also loads up better to throw larger swimbaits.
This is a double extra heavy rod with fast action. Use it with 20-40# Flouro or 30-65# braided line. Good for frogs, mat punching, and all close range flipping.
From Reneau Tackle Pro Ray Hanselman:
“The 970 and the 1100 are the new Power Point flipping rods, and they are great because they are light and easy on the shoulder and elbow after flipping all day. The 970 is a great shallow flouro flipping rod in light to medium cover. The 1100 will handle flouro or braid in medium to heavy cover in medium to deep depths of water.”
This is a heavy/extra-fast action rod. It has a lighter action than our 104 series, but is still quite strong Ideal applications include jigs, worms, football jigs, C-Rigs, Texas Rigs, small belly-weighted hook Swimbaits, and Swim Jigs. This rod comes equipped with a low-profile casting seat.
From Reneau Tackle Pro Ray Hanselman:
“The 104 and the 580 are two rods that can be used with the same techniques: TX rig, wobble head, football head jig, Carolina rig, small swimbaits, and shallow flipping with fluorocarbon. I will use the 580 with the lighter weight baits and line and close quarters. The 104 is ideal for slightly heavier baits and more open water and long casts.”
We recommend the 100% S-Glass PGC173 for both close range accurate casting and deep cranking medium sized crank baits. This is also a great trap rod, the moderate fast 7’3″ length allows you to snap baits free from grass but still offers enough give to avoid fish from throwing our bait on the jump.
The PGC73CP comes with Paragon Grey Fuji Corrosion Control guides with Alconite inserts and Fuji tangle free tips.
This is a graphite rod blending in to a high quality S-Glass tip. The graphite face gives this rod more sensitivity and power, while the S-Glass tip is more forgiving when throwing crankbaits, rattle traps and vibrating jigs.
We recommend the100% S-Glass PGC170-7’0″ for both close range accurate casting and deep cranking medium sized crank baits. This is also a great trap rod, the moderate fast 7’ length allows you to snap baits free from grass but still offers enough give to avoid fish from throwing our bait on the jump.
Supplies for this product are currently backordered. Production expected to resume in Q1 2022.
Extra Heavy 7’4” rod with Fast action. Used for the same applications as our Paragon Series PG144 (medium sized spinner baits, top waters, and senko style stick baits), but with a fast tip action.
From Reneau Tackle Pro Ray Hanselman:
“The 675 is an awesome utility rod. I primarily use it with spinners and top water. I will use this one for light swimbaits and weightless plastics, not a bad light TX rig rod either.”
The LPC550 is the legendary Reneau Tackle cranking rod still demanded by bass pros. These Medium X-Fast all-around crankers are great for chatterbaits and are made to cast long distances. All come with Fuji’s K Series Guides with SiC inserts. Available in three lengths:
7’10”: Super light weight in weight with unbelievable sensitivity due to the carbon fiber blank. Tim and Ray mainly use this length for 5XD and 6XD as well as Rat-L-Trap type baits and vibrating jigs. For those that like a longer cranking rod for super long casts.
7’6″: Same action as the 7’10″, just cut down for those that like a little less length. Still excellent all around cranking rod, made for 5XD and 6XD as well as square bills and vibrating jig type baits.
7’8″: Also ultra light in weight, but a little stiffer than the 7’10” and 7’6”. This length will handle 8XD and 10XD. It’s also very good for rattle type lures and for ripping a Rat-L-Trap out of grass.
This Medium Heavy Fast rod uses black nickel pearl recoil guides and a high quality tangle free Fuji tip.
It’s close in action to the Paragon PG143. Great light weight rod for topwaters, jerkbaits and wacky worms. Tim Reneau’s go-to rod for these types of lures.
